Why therapy?

Psychotherapy & Counselling is an option you might like to consider if you are experiencing difficulties in your life. It can help you think and feel through difficult personal questions, take stock of your life and address the issues that are making life difficult. Gaining a clearer appreciation and understanding of a problem is the first step on the road to making changes.

A few reasons you might consider counselling or psychotherapy?

Do you feel you’re not fulfilling your full potential?

Have you got self limiting beliefs? Would you like me to challenge these and help you through?

Do you struggle building relationships? Are experiencing problems in relationships with partners or family?

Comparing yourself to others? Is this leaving you with difficult thoughts and feelings?

Struggling to say NO? Would you like to be more assertive?

Is making decisions leaving you full of doubt?

Have you identified unhealthy behaviour patterns that you would like to change?

My Approach

Therapy that’s tailored to you.

I have a flexible and adaptable approach and would be happy to explore with you, what might best assist you, to move forward towards your goals and intentions. I believe we all have the potential to live fulfilling, satisfying lives in connection with others and that even our most difficult experiences can have meaning.

If you decide to work with me, expect to be challenged in a kind, sensitive and at times, where appropriate a humorous way. You may find reflecting deeply and exploring your potential stimulating, rewarding, and profoundly encouraging.

You will explore concerns that are troubling you, in a calm and confidential environment, without being judged or criticised.

In a safe environment, thoughts and feelings can be explored and repeated patterns of behaviour identified, some of which may have a bearing on your current problem and the way you move forward in your life.

We would do this working together in a collaborative way, led by you, to explore yourself and help you find answers and approaches that work best for you.

Exploring your thoughts, feelings, experiences and intentions in a safe environment, you may discover, overcome and change patterns of cognitive, emotional, behavioural responses, that may have been causing your current problems.

I am an integrative relational therapist which means I can draw from different approaches to best meet you with what you feel you need. I believe there is value in offering you practical tools that you can make use of outside of the therapy room.

“If you’re always trying to be normal, you will never know how amazing you can be.”
